Remote work

What is remote work?
Remote work is the term used when a worker employed by an organisation works outside of the traditional office environment. A remote worker might work from home and be located in the same state or country as the office, or they might operate out of a different country altogether.

Why are remote work policies becoming more prevalent?
With the advent and advancements of video conferencing technology, it is now easier than ever before to work remotely. It is also helpful that remote workers can be just as productive as their colleagues who operate out of the office.

It’s also important to note that remote work has been found to help employees achieve work-life balance. By being able to devote time to their personal and professional lives, employee wellbeing increases and so does morale, all of which plays a large role in producing great work.

How can businesses manage remote work policies effectively?
When operating a workforce that is either fully or partially remote, technology systems and software need to be efficient and effective. This way, all staff have access to the same information.

With Roubler’s workforce management and payroll software, organisations have the tools in place to employ and facilitate remote workers, no matter the department they may work in.

By making operations ranging from rostering and payroll to training and leave management easily accessible via desktop and mobile, each and every employee possesses the tools to do their job and keep informed. Laying the foundation for a connected and productive team.
