Part-time roster

Part-time roster

What is a part-time roster?
A part-time roster is a schedule that tells part-time employees – employees who work less than 35 hours per week – when they are rostered to work and what days they have off during a set period of time.

What are the benefits of part-time rosters?
There are many different types of employment opportunities in the workforce. As such, some people are designated as full-time workers while others are part-time, casual or even freelance workers.

Opting to employ part-time workers offers organisations greater coverage during periods of peak demand. It also provides the workforce with an additional layer to operations which proves beneficial when full-time workers may apply for PTO.

As an employee, part-time work is an enticing concept. Offering greater work-life balance and flexibility, part-time work can lay the foundation for improved workplace morale and therefore better productivity and improved employee retention rates.

What tools can a business use to create part-time rosters?
When looking to create the latest roster, managers may find it difficult and time consuming to account for the requirements of full-time, part-time and casual workers.

For efficient and effective rostering processes, there is rostering software. With Roubler’s online staff rostering software and app, rosters are created that take into account employee availability and employment types as well as business specific rules, making sure that all rosters are accurate and compliant.
