The purpose of this document is to manage staff misconduct which can damage the effective and harmonious operation of the organisation. It is essential that the policy and process for dealing with instances of such behaviour is clear and understood by all staff, that it complies with principles of fairness and justice and with prevailing legislation and that they are directed primarily towards restorative behaviour rather than punishment.
