Software Integration Engineer – contract

Who we are: 
A software development company doing big thing in the HR space.  We’re expanding our team to build out more exciting functionality as we because to move our operations internationally.
 
Key Areas of Responsibility: 

  • Research, execute and manage the integration of third party applications into our existing software infrastructure
  • Collaborate with technology team members, end users and other stakeholders to ensure maximum functionality and usability
  • Where applicable suggest areas for improvement in our integration techniques within the current framework and coding policies
  • Document procedures to ensure that any new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance and other specifications
  • Take the lead in satisfying certification requirements for some of the third party applications
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

 
Qualifications/Key Skills:
 
There are a number of key attributes and both soft and hard skills that we are looking for in this role: 
  

  • Relevant bachelor degree preferred
  • Strong experience with Node.js development, particularly for integration purposes
  • At least two years of experience in a related role
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of software integration
  • Ability to write and maintain unit tests and appropriate documentation
